Getting Here
Being this remote claims its own requirements and unique ways. Therefore, we will pick up with our own aircraft or charter an exclusive flight for you with one of our trusted local Airlines.
If you intend to travel via commercial airlines, you will connect via Edmonton or Vancouver with the final destination being Fort Nelson, Toad River or Whitehorse, BC. Upon your arrival, we or one of our partners will be there to pick you up and get you to the airstrip. It takes flights from approximately 30 minutes (Toad River), over one hour (Fort Nelson) to four hours (Whitehorse) to reach our Mountain Lodge. For those wishing to take their own airplane, please contact us directly in order to coordinate your trip.
*On any vacation or international trip, it is recommended to get a travel insurance. Your hunting trip is no different. Your hunt is an investment, and we suggest that you protect it with trip and/or cancellation insurance.
Meat Processing
Once your animal is down, your guide will provide the basics to the field care of your trophy and properly prepare it for the transport. At the Lodge, we professionally take care, salt, dry, and get it ready for shipping. At the end of the season, we care for the pickup of all trophies and hides personally while we look after the permits necessary to crate and ship them to the taxidermist of your choice. All additional shipping fees are at the expense of the client. At the end of each hunt every client will need to sign a ‘Guide Outfitter Declaration’, a ‘Record of Receipt for Transporting Wildlife’ form and provide us with your taxidermist name and contact info.

There will be a charter fee to be paid upon arrival, if a hunter decides to fly out early and require additional flights, they will be arranged at the hunter’s expense and an additional charter fee is applicable (therefore, we highly recommend a travel & cancellation insurance!)
- 5% GST is required on the cost of hunt and trophy fees
- Gratitudes are costumary and very much appriciated
Wounded Game Policy
All Fees payable will apply to animals harvested or wounded by the hunter during the hunt. Any wounded game constitutes as “harvested game” and the trophy fees (if applicable) will be due. If a wounded animal cannot be found, the hunter will not be permitted to hunt another animal of the same species. That being said, we are committed to the retrieval of any and all wounded animals. Therefore, the search for the animal does not necessarily end with the end of the hunt.
Ethical shot placement and shooting is paramount. The final decision to pull the trigger on an animal rests in the hands of the hunter, so make sure it’s a good one.
Be Prepared
What To Bring
Hunting Big Game in BC includes you having the right gear which you feel comfortable and safe with. As a reminder what to bring, have a look at the provided gear list we developed over the years and out of experience.
Please limit your personal gear to 60 lbs coming into camp due to number of passengers and weight limitations on our flights. Before your hunt, we will go through your gear together to make sure you only take what you will need, if you wish.
