About
The Area
Northern British Columbia
Where We Are Located
3,500 square miles of territory encompass some of the Best Big Game Hunting in Northern British Columbia and date back to the days of legendary Skook Davidson.
Our remote base camps are located at the end of the Rocky Mountains and offer exclusive fly-in trips while our area is located at the famous Kechika and Gataga river drainages. Over the years we have applied substantial enhancement management techniques to maintain game numbers and quality throughout the area. This provides great opportunities to harvest mature specimens for our clients. The wide South-West facing Kechika Valley creates a unique microclimate. Milder winter winds and higher amounts of sunlight aid the local wildlife in surviving the harsh winter weather of Northern British Columbia. Understanding the specific conditions of our territory is crucial for maintaining sustainable and healthy wildgame populations. We are devoted to the exceptional responsibility of maintaining highest quality of game and hunting experience.
Muskwa-Kechika
SERENGETI OF THE NORTH
Approximately the size of Ireland and deemed the “Serengeti of the North,” the Muskwa-Kechika (MK) is one the largest and most biodiverse areas in the Rocky Mountain range, yet only a select few have heard of it. The reason for its elusiveness lies in the rugged landscapes, harsh climate, and a unique management system allowing humans to live harmoniously with the wilderness.
Kechika Valley
Characterized by large, open valleys and high mountains with little forest cover and a length of over 230 kilometers, the area is home to an abundance of large mammals and other wildlife including Stone Sheep, Canadian Moose, Mountain Caribou, Mountain Goat, Elk, Grizzly and Black Bear. Not only is the river corridor pristine, but the valley as a whole remains free from roads, leaving the Kechika River as the largest remaining undisturbed watershed in British Columbia and one of the finest hunting areas there is.
